The nonprofit organizational leadership minor provides the knowledge and competencies to perform a variety of roles in nonprofit organizations, for-profit companies and corporations, and government agencies at the local, state, and national levels.
The minor is open to all UF students and it must be added before a student completes 90 credits. A cumulative 2.5 GPA is necessary for admission to the minor. Students must earn a minimum grade of B in FYC 4409 Working with Nonprofit Organizations in Community Settings to continue in the minor; this course also is a prerequisite for the internship or practicum.
The minor draws primarily from the faculty in Family, Youth and Community Sciences. Electives can be taken from the colleges of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Business Administration, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Journalism and Communications, and Education.
