IDS 4949 Co-op Work Experience

Credits: 1; can be repeated with change in work program.

This course is designed for students who participate in a multiple-semester career-related co-op work experience with a company. All co-op students are required to set up a file in the Career Resource Center. (S-U)

SLS 1501 College Study Skills 1

Credits: 1-3; can be repeated.

A developmental course designed to assist students who may be having difficulty in their college-level coursework or those who simply wish to improve basic skills essential for college success. The course begins with an individual self-assessment followed by topics such as motivation, time management, active reading, memory, note taking and test taking. Students will also develop a career portfolio for their final lesson.

SLS 2301 Career Planning

Credits: 1.

Presents theoretical models and practical activities in career development and planning including understanding the world of work and choosing a career and academic major. Enrollment is restricted to freshmen and sophomores.

SLS 2302 Job Strategies

Credits: 1.

Interactive course covering all aspects of a successful job search, long-term career planning and success in the professional environment. Enrollment is restricted to juniors and seniors.
