Nuclear Radiation and Reactor Analysis Certificate
Hours: 11 credits
The nuclear radiation and reactor analysis certificate provides a foundation in radiation and reactor concepts for engineers across multiple majors and industries. The UF certificate is designed with prerequisites and courses to promote nuclear engineering education across a numerous engineering disciplines.
All required courses must be completed with minimum grades of C.
Prerequisite Courses
- CHM 2045 General Chemistry 1 or
CHM 2095 Chemistry for Engineers 1, both 3 credits
- CHM 2046 General Chemistry 2 or
CHM 2096 Chemistry for Engineers 2, both 3 credits
- MAC 2311 Analytical Geometry and Calculus 1, 4 credits
- MAC 2312 Analytical Geometry and Calculus 2, 4 credits
- MAC 2313 Analytical Geometry and Calculus 3, 4 credits
- PHY 2048 Physics with Calculus 1, 3 credits
- PHY 2049 Physics with Calculus 2, 3 credits
- EEL 3105 Analytical Methods in Electrical Engineering or
EGM 4313 Intermediate Engineering Analytical, or MAP 4305 Differential Equations for Engineers and Physical Scientists, all 3 credits
