Degree Requirements

Seniors must file formal application for a degree in the Office of the University Registrar early in the semester in which they expect to receive the degree.

To receive the Bachelor of Science in Building Construction, a student must complete all of the following satisfactorily:

• Complete 61 semester hours of building construction prerequisite requirements.
• Complete the approved program in building construction consisting of 64 semester hours of 3000/4000-level course work taken in the junior/senior years.
• Attain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.
• Attain at least a 2.0 GPA on all 3000/4000-level degree requirements.
• A minimum of 125 semester hours is required for graduation. The waiving of any required course does not reduce the hours required for graduation.
• Take the AIC (American Institute of Constructors) Associate Constructor Examination in the final senior semester.

Degree Requirements for Fire and Emergency Services

Seniors must file formal application for a degree in the Office of the University Registrar early in the semester in which they expect to receive the degree.

To receive the Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Services, a student must complete all of the following satisfactorily:

• Complete the approved program in fire and emergency services, consisting of 60 semester hours of 3000/4000-level course work taken in the junior/senior years.
• Attain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.
• A minimum of 120 semester hours is required for graduation. The waiving of any required course does not reduce the hours required for graduation.
