    ENT 3003 Principles of Entrepreneurship
    Credits: 4.
    Practical, hands-on understanding of the stages of entrepreneurial process. Focus on the decision-making process within a start-up company
    ENT 3503 Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship
    Credits: 2.
    Social entrepreneurship involves using the skills and strategies of business to innovatively and sustainably solve social, environmental, and economic problems. The ventures created by social entrepreneurs can be non-profits, for-profits, or innovative hybrid models. This course aims to educate, inspire, and empower students to become changemakers.
    ENT 4015 The Venture Accelerator
    Credits: 2; Prereq: ENT 3003 or EGN 4641.
    A team-based, experiential program focused on the start-up process; includes lectures, readings, discussions, workshops, and a team-based project. As deliverables, each team must deliver weekly lessons-learned presentations, complete business canvas updates, and prepare a final presentation.
    ENT 4114 New Venture Planning
    Credits: 2; ACG 2021C and ENT 3003 with minimum grades of B.
    A study of the key elements of new venture planning to achieve an understanding of the process involved in the evaluation of new venture feasibility and the development of business plans for new venture.

    ENT 4614 Creativity and Innovation in the Business Environment
    Credits: 2; Prereq: ENT 3003.
    Examination of the creativity process and the organizational environment of several organizations recognized as creative and innovative. Course is organized around class discussions, workshops, projects, both individual and team-based, cases, a field trip and visiting experts. The course is very interactive and is based in experiential learning.
    ENT 4704 International Entrepreneurship
    Credits: 2; ENT 3113 or GEB 3113.
    Examination of the key elements of the international entrepreneurial venture. The learning perspective is that of the global entrepreneur - one whose business is born global and who may capitalize upon resources from anywhere.
    ENT 4934 Special Topics
    Credits: 1 to 4; can be repeated with a change in content up to 8 credits.
    Special topics in entrepreneurship-related fields of study.
    ENT 4940 Entrepreneurship Practicum
    Credits: 1; Prereq: admission to the entrepreneurship minor and senior standing.
    Provides a forum for completing a portfolio of supervised experiential learning activities related to entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset. Through these activities, students enhance their mastery of such entrepreneurial competencies as opportunity recognition, opportunity assessment, resource leveraging, bootstrapping, risk mitigation, value innovation, and guerrilla behavior.

    FIN 2951 Special Projects

    FIN 3403 Business Finance
    Credits: 4; Prereq: ACG 2021 and junior standing or ACG 2021, ECO 2023 and sophomore standing.
    The acquisition and management of funds by business. A minimum grade of B is required in FIN 3403 to register for required finance major courses.
    FIN 4243 Debt and Money Markets
    Credits: 4; Prereq: FIN 3403 with a minimum grade of B and ACG 2021 and ACG 2071 with minimum grades of C.
    Course examines financial markets, the institutions and instruments associated with debt funds and the determinants of the general level and structure of interest rates.
    FIN 4403 Honors Finance
    Credits: 2; can be repeated with a change in content up to 6 credits; Prereq: FIN 3403 with grade of A.
    Variable topics providing opportunity for in-depth study of topics not offered in other courses.
    FIN 4414 Financial Management
    Credits: 4; Prereq: FIN 4243 and FIN 4504.
    An integrative examination of theory and practice of managerial finance, financing and investing decisions as affected by risk, timing and financial markets.

    FIN 4453 Financial Modeling
    Credits: 2; Prereq: FIN 3403 with a minimum grade of B or an equivalent course as approved by the Department of Finance.
    The course demonstrates how intricate financial spreadsheet models can be applied to aid in value creating activities for businesses such as valuation, additional funds needed analysis and additional applications that may include activities such as leasing and merger analysis.
    FIN 4504 Equity and Capital Markets
    Credits: 4; Prereq: FIN 3403 with minimum grade of B and ACG 2021 with a minimum grade of C, and ACG 2071 with minimum grades of C.
    Course examines financial markets, the institutions and instruments associated with equity funds, the mechanics and mathematics of stock prices, security analysis and the factors influencing stock values.
    FIN 4533 Financial Derivatives
    Credits: 2; Prereq: FIN 4504 or FIN 4243
    The course defines the main kind of derivatives, shows how they are used to achieve various hedging and speculating objectives, introduces a framework for pricing derivatives and studies several applications of derivative-pricing techniques outside derivative markets.
    FIN 4905 Independent Research
    Credits: 1 to 4; can be repeated with a change in content up to 6 credits. Prereq: senior standing, previous work in the area of research and department permission.
    A written report or reports will be required.

    FIN 4934 Special Topics
    Credits: 1 to 4; can be repeated with a change in content up to 8 credits.
    Special topics in entrepreneurship related fields of study.
    FIN 4970 Honors Thesis
    Credits: 1; Prereq: 90 credits earned and a 3.6 UF GPA.
    A thesis is required for award of magna cum laude or summa cum laude designation. To qualify for the thesis option, students normally will have completed 90 semester credits of coursework (exceptions may be made by the honors coordinator) and must have at least the 3.6 GPA required for high honors at the time they enroll. The thesis will be reviewed by at least one faculty member chosen by the honors coordinator from the student's major department. (S-U)

    Principles of real estate decision making within the context of our economic, social, legal and political-government systems.
    REE 4303 Real Estate Investment Decision Making
    Credits: 4; Prereq: REE 3043 with a minimum grade of C.
    Explores real estate investment and the demands, skills and challenges of decision-making for those who make such investments.

    Credits: 1 to 4; can be repeated with change in content up to 4 credits. Prereq: senior standing, previous work in the area selected for research and instructor and department chair permissions.
    A written report or reports will be required.
