International Development and Humanitarian Assistance Minor
Hours: 15 credits
This interdisciplinary minor provides UF students with foundational skills and knowledge necessary to contribute productively in nonprofit organizations, private businesses and public-sector organizations involved with international development and humanitarian assistance. The Department of Food and Resource Economics will provide advising.
Core coursework focuses on international development policy and nonprofit organizations. Students may choose electives in agriculture, conservation, ecology, economic policy and regulations, contemporary international issues and foreign policy. Other electives are subject to adviser approval.
Students are strongly encouraged to complete an approved study abroad or international internship experience.
The minor is open to all students. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 is necessary for admission to the minor. Students must earn a minimum grade of B in AEB 4283 International Developmental Policy or AEB 4282 International Humanitarian Assistance to continue in the minor.
